About

Very little is known about the native land species of snails in Colorado. The purpose of this site is to educate and call to action the conservation of these interesting critters.

Project

Collect as many pictures of snails in Colorado so the species can be identified and classified and create a space for conservation to take place.

Donate

The project requires mostly man power. If you want to get involved all you need is a love of the outdoors and a camera or your phone.

Get Involved

The next time you are hiking or gardening and you run across a snail snap a picture and record the approximate location. Then simply upload the photo to our facebook page and make a comment about locaton.

Common brown garden snail. Scientific name Helix aspersa. These snails are not native to Colorado or even the United States. However, their numbers are on the rise in Colorado.
